A red-hot reinvention of an old Welsh Smokery

Nestled in the beautiful Black Mountains in South Wales, this family-run Smokery approached Threesixty for help in unlocking their potential.

Primarily a mail order operation, Jo and Jonathan Carthew wanted to increase the level of 'surprise and delight' when customers received their products.

The company were mailing products to consumers in plain, unbranded packs. Although they had a loyal fan-base they knew a lack of secondary packaging meant they were missing out on building a recognisable brand.

Following a two-day visit to throughly immerse in the business, as well as studying competitors in the major retailers and food-halls, Threesixty set about creating a new design language that celebrates the charcoal smoking process and product provenance.
